Candles & Products
Q: What makes Lost Jungle Co. candles different from other “Hawaiian” candles.
A: Our candles are hand-poured in small batches using vegan soy wax + essential oils and inspired by authentic elements of Hawaiʻi — not the commercialized “tiki” and “pineapple” version. Each scent connects to place, story, and mood, like rain on lava, moonlight, and ʻIliahi and Loke.
Q: Are your candles really made in Hawaiʻi?
A: Yes. Every Lost Jungle Co. candle is made in Hawaiʻi. From pouring to packaging. We believe in keeping our creative process close to home, supporting local suppliers, and reducing our footprint wherever possible.
Q: Are your candles eco-friendly?
A: Absolutely. We use 100% vegan soy wax, cotton wicks, essential oils, and reusable tin containers. Our packaging is recyclable, and we never use synthetic dyes or harmful additives.
Q: Do you offer custom or wholesale orders?
A: Yes! We accept bulk, custom scent, and wholesale inquiries for weddings, events, and local retailers. To collaborate, email us at kcorrea@lostjungle.co or use the contact form on our website.
Q: Do your scents have cultural meaning?
A: Many of our candles draw inspiration from Hawaiian elements and stories - such as the out of this world Mahina (moonlight) scent, or the healing and calming drives of Hāmākua Coast. While rooted in tradition, each candle tells a story that is intended to uplift Hawaiian culture in the modern market.

Cultural Reponsibility and sustainability
Q: What do you mean by “cultural responsibility?”
A: For Lost Jungle Co, cultural responsibility means honoring the land (ʻaina), traditions, and knowledge of Hawaiʻi while taking intentional action to care for the ecosystems and communities we depend on. this includes acknowledging Hawaiʻi’s environmental reality and integrating respect for nature into everything we create.
Q: Why does Lost Jungle Co. say Hawaiʻi is the “extinction capital of the world”?
A: Hawaiʻi has lost more native species — birds, plants, snails, and insects — than almost anywhere else on Earth. This is largely due to invasive species, habitat loss, disease, and climate change. As a Native Hawaiian-owned brand, we believe acknowledging this reality is essential for preserving the islands’ culture and ecology.
Q: How does Lost Jungle Co. address this extinction crisis?
A: We respond through:
Awareness & Storytelling - Sharing truths about Hawaiʻi’s ecological challenges through our product stories, blogs, and social media
Supporting Restoration - Choosing sustainable materials, working with local projects, and uplifting organizations dedicated to native species preservation and reforestation.
Ethical Design & Production - Using hand-poured methods, plant-based ingredients, recyclable packaging, and eco-friendly processes.
Education & Cultural Respect - Embedding Hawaiian values like kuleana into our work whenever possible.
Local Commitment - Supporting local markets, suppliers, and initiatives that protect Hawaiʻi’s unique biodiversity.
Q: Why is cultural responsibility important to Lost Jungle Co?
A: Because Hawaʻi’s identity is deeply tied to its natural world. Protecting native ecosystems isn’t just environmental — it’s cultural preservation. Our kuleana (responsibility) is to keep these connections alive through mindful creation, education, and support for Hawaiʻi’s unique biodiversity.
